2019 Bible Study Class:
Spring Study: “Brave Women of the Bible” by Faith Raider
When we think about being brave we often think of big, loud, once-in-a-lifetime acts of bravery. We think about David facing off against Goliath, or about Esther speaking up to the king in order to save her people. But what about the quiet, unseen acts of bravery of our ordinary day-after-day? Do they count too? I believe that God is inviting his daughters to embrace his extraordinary bravery in our ordinary lives, and together we will study a few of the lives who are an example of this. Hannah, Ruth, Hagar, and the sisters Mary & Martha offer us a glimpse into how to (and how not to) live with gentle, quiet, extraordinary bravery. This is a six week Bible Study with light homework, focused on asking questions. It is an invitation to a conversation with God and with each other about what it really means to be brave right here in our ordinary lives.
